Recently, SHINee was forced to cancel their event in Japan due to safety issues as too many fans were gathered in the area. However, media in Japan have been reporting that the reason why there was such a big crowd was because the organizer of the event stated that the group holding the event is “a 5-member group with a name beginning with the letter S.” This made the crowd believe that the organizer was referring to a popular Japanese group, SMAP. This has angered netizens and resulted in criticism that SHINee was trying to boost their popularity with SMAP’s name.

Following the cancellation of the event, SHINee expressed, “Given that there was such a big crowd, it is a shame that we had to cancel the event. But we still want to thank our fans for their support.” However, local Japanese media later revealed that there has been a mistake as the only reason why so many fans gathered is because there were workers handing out fliers on the streets, with a message telling the fans to find 5 Santa Clauses with the name starting with S. As the clue given fits SMAP, rumours began to spread that SMAP would be at the event, and the crowd started to gather based on false information.

It will never be known as to whether the organizer’s intentions were to mislead the public; however, with the event canceled, it is a big disappointment for the fans who attended the event in hopes of supporting SHINee.

111209 Minho's Birthday Party Fanaccount

- Minho said he would always tease Key by pushing him to the wall on the pretext of kissing him, said like to scare him & it was very funny to see his shocked reaction.

- Key said Minho would always suddenly do things that he wouldn’t really do & pretend that it even matters. Jjong said Key too like to do that. Key said he has stopped ever since he was nearly kissed by Jjong. With regard to the fake forced kissing in lifts, Minho said he does that to every member but Key’s expression & reaction was the funniest.

- Key said he has no money & no card so he borrowed Jonghyun’s credit card to buy a present for Yoogeun. Jjong returned & sms Key asking where his credit card was & that was when Key realised he misplaced the card. Key was in a fluster & dropped his pencil on the floor (Key was drawing). The phone call was too sudden & when asked about the card, Key couldn’t help & said he placed the card in the drawer. Jjong asked if it’s in the 2nd drawer on the right, Key replied yes, that’s the one. Jjong said it’s not there. Key then began to talk formally & was very nervous. Jjong told Key not to worry & take his time to find it. Key searched for a while & finally found it. He then placed the card on jjong’s notebook. Jjong asked how about sharing Yoogeun’s present? Key whom was in a good mood, ah? OK!

- Key said he felt very bad after he lost Jonghyun’s card, he even spoke formally to Jonghyun for some time. Key said he will only talk formally when he is apologetic to the people around him. Apparently Key have yet to return 170k won to Jonghyun which he mentioned previously on a show about buying pants.

(Am I right to assume that Key forged Jjong’s signature to use his credit card??)

- Key bought anti-aging skincare products for Onew. Onew gave Key & Key’s friends a big treat, apparently the others were kept in the dark.

- Before the party ended, Key said he still has something to say, he said once while in bathrobe he placed the clothes he wanted to wear the next day in a box. Shawols said they knew as they saw it in a magazine. Key was surprised & asked, Who said it? Minho replied, you… The party should have ended but Key couldn’t stop talking. Jjong said Key’s too talkative, is he drunk, said when Key’s drunk he will be talkative.

- SHINee said they are still recording songs when asked about their Korean album but some were recorded long ago & already outdated. Then they chatted & mentioned this song will definitely not be chosen, so its ok even if they reveal it thus they hummed 2 lines. The lyrics is about taking a spaceship, Let’s Go! Key even imitated Lee Soo Man’s voice, “This may be included in the album, or may not be included in the album..”

- Taemin bought Minho underwear for his birthday.

- Key wore a shirt with colors blue, red and yellow and told Minho that it’s inspired by the traditional korean costume.

- MinKey rapped Be My Baby’s rap part. they changed the “those born in the 88” part to “91” since they’re both 91-liners.

- Minho had climbed into a pothole when he was a kid and saw two sewer men staring back at him. He screamed and climbed back out immediately and has been afraid of potholes since that day onwards.

- Whenever Minho got bad grades, he would hide himself in the washing machine until his mother opens the lid and freaks out to see her son in there.

- Minho had climbed up a snowy hill before with Onew and started dancing happily when he reached the peak. However, he accidentally rolled down the hill and got covered in snow. Onew thought that he was an alive snowman walking around for a moment when he saw him.

- On a boat in barcelona, taemin lost the boat’s paddle. Onew held onto the boat, whilst taemin grabbed onew’s feet and they attempted to look for the lost paddle. they couldn’t find it though. They had to pay for the paddle. After a while, a foreigner swimming found a paddle in the sea and Taemin immediately screamed, “give me give me!!!”

- Key even imitated Lee Soo Man’s voice, “This may be included in the album, or may not be included in the album..”

- The party should have ended but Key couldn’t stop talking.

- Jonghyun and Key said they watched porn together.

- Minho will purposely start dancing around like a chimpanzee and pretend not to hear Key by making monkey noises whenever Key starts to nag at him.
